“Later” Means Too Late: Young People Unite in Lithuania to Act Against Climate Change

The Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project “Later” Means too Late (Project No: 2023-1-LT02-KA152-YOU-000120901) officially brought together young people from Lithuania, Czechia, Iceland, Italy, Hungary, and Turkey in Vilnius, Lithuania, between 24 February – 2 March 2024. Coordinated by Delta Environmental Association VšĮ, the project was implemented with the participation of Green Behavior Youth Organization as one of the partner organizations

Climate change is no longer a future concern, it is a global reality affecting ecosystems, biodiversity, weather patterns, and human life. The project was designed to help young people understand the causes and consequences of global warming while encouraging them to become active contributors to climate action through non-formal education and international cooperation.

Throughout the mobility, participants explored scientific evidence on climate change, greenhouse gas emissions, biodiversity loss, renewable solutions, sustainable lifestyles, and responsible resource management. The activities also promoted environmental awareness, intercultural dialogue, inclusion, and active citizenship while strengthening participants' social, communication, and language skills.

By combining workshops, practical activities, field visits, dissemination campaigns, and collaborative learning, “Later” Means too Late aimed to inspire young people to take immediate action instead of postponing environmental responsibility. The project also highlighted the importance of protecting the planet for future generations and encouraged governments, communities, and individuals to work together toward a low-carbon future. 🌍
