The first day of the Erasmus+ KA153 Mobility of Youth Workers project "Hold Your Breath: Air Pollution" (Project No: 2025-1-IT03-KA153-YOU-000299023) officially started in Milan, Italy under the coordination of Ecological Connection Community, with the participation of Green Behavior Youth Organization and partners from Italy, Turkey, Hungary, Lithuania, and Iceland. 🌍🤝 The opening sessions focused on introducing participants to the objectives of the project while creating an inclusive and collaborative learning environment.

Participants took part in introductory activities designed to help youth workers get to know each other, build trust, and establish intercultural connections. They also received detailed information about the Erasmus+ programme and the Youthpass certification process, gaining a clear understanding of the learning journey they would experience throughout the mobility.

The educational programme continued with interactive sessions exploring the concept of air pollution, its main sources, different pollutant types, and its effects on ecosystems, climate change, and public health. Through discussions and collaborative learning methods, participants examined why air pollution is a global challenge requiring international cooperation and local action at the same time.

The day concluded with reflection and evaluation activities where participants shared their first impressions, discussed expectations for the coming days, and exchanged ideas on how youth workers can become ambassadors for environmental sustainability. The opening day successfully established the project's collaborative spirit while reinforcing its core mission of empowering young people to lead positive environmental change. 🌿💬
