Green Behavior Youth Organization participated as a partner in the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project “For the Better: Sustainability” (Reference No: 2024-3-HU01-KA152-YOU-000267485), which took place from 18–25 May 2025. The project brought together young people from Hungary, Türkiye, Romania, Portugal, Latvia, and Iceland to raise awareness about sustainability, promote environmentally responsible lifestyles, and encourage active participation in building a greener future. Through non-formal education methods, participants explored key sustainability challenges while developing valuable competencies related to environmental responsibility and active citizenship.
Participants gathered for an informative session where they were introduced to the project's objectives, schedule, and the main sustainability themes that would be explored throughout the exchange. Interactive ice-breaking and team-building activities helped young people from different cultural backgrounds get to know one another, creating a positive atmosphere and fostering cooperation within the group.
During sessions focused on the Erasmus+ programme, participants learned about the opportunities available to young people across Europe. Through presentations, discussions, and interactive activities, they explored the priorities of Erasmus+, its impact on youth development, and the ways international mobility projects can contribute to personal and professional growth.
Workshops dedicated to Youthpass and the eight key competences enabled participants to better understand how learning outcomes are recognised and documented within Erasmus+ projects. Through group work and presentations, they examined competencies such as communication, entrepreneurship, digital skills, cultural awareness, and learning to learn. These activities encouraged reflection on personal strengths while improving teamwork and presentation skills.
Reflection and evaluation activities provided participants with an opportunity to assess what they had learned throughout the day and share their impressions with the group. The sessions helped establish a common understanding of the project’s learning process and laid a strong foundation for the sustainability-focused activities that would follow during the exchange.
