Holding Our Breath Is Not an Option: Empowering Youth Workers Against Air Pollution 🌿

The Green Behavior Youth Organization is participating in the Erasmus+ KA153 Mobility of Youth Workers project "Hold Your Breath: Air Pollution" (Project No: 2025-1-IT03-KA153-YOU-000299023), coordinated by Ecological Connection Community. The project will take place in Milan, Italy, between 9–15 August 2025, bringing together youth workers from Italy, Turkey, Hungary, Lithuania, and Iceland to strengthen environmental awareness and promote sustainable action. 🌍🤝

Air pollution has become one of the most urgent environmental challenges affecting human health, biodiversity, and climate resilience. This project has been designed to equip youth workers with the knowledge, practical tools, and leadership skills needed to understand the causes and consequences of air pollution while encouraging environmentally responsible lifestyles. By strengthening their capacities, participants will become multipliers who inspire positive environmental change within their own communities.

Throughout the mobility, participants will engage in interactive workshops, discussions, presentations, social media activities, intercultural learning experiences, and collaborative action planning. They will explore different types of air pollution, analyze global environmental data, improve their communication and leadership skills, and exchange successful environmental practices from their respective countries. The project also promotes inclusion by ensuring that young people with fewer opportunities can actively participate and contribute to environmental initiatives.

By the end of the project, participants are expected to return home with stronger leadership abilities, improved communication skills, enhanced environmental literacy, and concrete action plans for local initiatives. Through international cooperation and intercultural dialogue, "Hold Your Breath: Air Pollution" aims to inspire a new generation of youth workers who are ready to lead sustainable transformation and encourage greener communities across Europe. 🌱💙
