Building a Green Team for Change

The first day of "The Endless Journey of Plastic" officially launched in Budapest, Hungary, where participants from Hungary, Turkey, Romania, Ireland, Slovakia, and Iceland came together under the coordination of For Renewal Environmental Association. As a partner organization, Green Behavior Youth Organization joined the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange (Project No: 2022-3-HU01-KA152-YOU-000095197) to contribute to raising environmental awareness among young people through international cooperation. 🌍

The opening day focused on welcoming participants, introducing the objectives of the project, and creating a friendly atmosphere through a variety of ice-breaking and team-building activities. Participants became familiar with one another, learned about the Erasmus+ programme, and discussed the importance of tackling environmental pollution caused by plastic waste. Interactive games and communication exercises encouraged everyone to actively participate while building trust within the international group.

Another important part of the day was introducing the project's environmental mission. Participants explored the current challenges related to waste production, recycling, and sustainable lifestyles in each partner country. By sharing their own experiences and local realities, they gained a broader understanding of how plastic pollution affects different communities across Europe and why international cooperation is essential for creating lasting environmental solutions. 🌿

The first day concluded with reflection activities that encouraged participants to express their expectations for the week ahead. Strong friendships were already beginning to form, creating the foundation for a productive Youth Exchange dedicated to sustainability, intercultural dialogue, and protecting the environment for future generations. 🤝
